Everything in nature has an order, everything is mathematical…yes…men was created by God mirroring His own image…ok…the universe is purposeful…no doubt…even things we don’t understand, like WHY men have (useless?) nipples, has a reason in the bigger universal order or things. Well…perhaps! Today, in the XXI century we still ask that ancient question that made Charles Darwin, Leonardo, Vesalius, and other great minds lose their sleep. (you know, curiosity is a dangerous thing…)Charles Darwin (nobody has been so harshly critized and put on the spot like our old bearded man after proposing his theory of  “Natural Selection”, perhaps only compared to Copernicus when he said that our planet is not still…there is always somebody somewhere challenging our sacred cows, isn’t it so?) said that “long after the progenitors of the whole mammalian class had ceased to be androgynous, both sexes yielded milk, and thus nourished their young; and in the case of marsupials, that both sexes carried their young in marsupial sacks.” He proposed that males used to practice nursing, but the offspring became reduced in number, then males ceased to give this aid, the glands became atrophied through generations and the gene was passed over, developing differently in both sexes. For all computer geeks out there …this is interesting, we start out as TEMPLATES then we get customized to suit the need of the chromosome Y..wow. From here we can go the modern time findings in genetics. Women as we know, have 26 chromosomes X and men have 26 chromosomes that include the X and the Y type. A human being is made of 46, which could be a combination of XX=Female or XY=male. Now, at specific times during the growth of an embryo, the cells differentiate to form the various organs of the body including the ones that define the gender. There are “generic” cells that will be defined further on for an specific gender-oriented function. In or about 6-7 weeks the chromosome Y says HELLO WORLD, kicks in and develops the external genitalia…and the result is… a guy! now, put into simple words WE ALL start as girls!!…what a finding… Now again, about the nipples…so, Why, why the nipples in men? well, its part of the TEMPLATE, thats it!!! All said, you decide whether old Darwin or Genetics have the upper-hand in finding truth. What do you think?
